How to Remove Press-On Nails Without Wrecking Your Real Nails

The rule that matters more than any other: if you're pulling, you're doing it wrong. Ripping a press-on off takes layers of your natural nail with it, and that's where every "press-ons ruined my nails" story comes from. The nail didn't do the damage. The removal did.

Here's the method. Fill a bowl with warm soapy water, add a bit of oil (cuticle oil is ideal, olive oil works), and soak for 10 to 15 minutes. The glue softens. Then gently wiggle each nail from the sides, not the front. If one isn't budging, soak longer. It will always come off eventually, and eventually is the whole trick.

Used sticky tabs? Even easier. Warm water, gentle side-to-side wiggle, done in minutes.

What not to do: no metal tools under the nail, no acetone soaks if you want to re-wear your set. Acetone dissolves glue fast but it also eats the gel finish, and a handmade set deserves better than one wear.

That's the other thing. Because BBYR sets are handmade gel, removing them properly means they go back in the tin and come back out for the next event. Clean the leftover glue off the back with a gentle buff, store them flat, and they're ready to go again. The full routine is in the after care guide.

Slow removal is the price of two-week wear and a reusable set. Cheap at twice the price.

Full step-by-step with photos is in the removal tutorial, straight from my desk to yours.
